Unsung (SATB)
SATB (div) with optional cello and/or percussion
This fiery opening movement of Katerina Gimon’s concert-length work Unsung mirrors the progression of a hurricane, swelling and spiraling into a powerful rhythmic fury as the storm reaches land. Accented rhythms and body percussion contribute to its sense of brimming chaotic energy. This standalone movement can be performed a cappella or with cello and/or percussion.
Hurricane is a great fit for programs on themes of nature, the environment, and advocacy. As well, it’s fast tempo, high energy, and driving rhythms make it great all-around pallet cleanser for any concert program.
Note: This work is available for SSAA or SATB choir. The instrumental parts are purchased separately.
