A fun, folk-like piece that turns the beat on it’s head. Written for younger singers but fun for all ages.

There are no actual lyrics in “Go.” Instead, Takach has combined phonemes together to sound improvised and to support the melody and rhythms. The piece features balanced phrases, but cutting an eighth note off the end changes the pulse from on the beat to off beat, then back. Singers will have no trouble learning the music, and will have a delightful time figuring out the rhythmic puzzle, yet all they have to do is keep a steady quarter pulse! Have fun with this one…
Composer’s Notes
I wrote this to be a piece that a choir could sing wherever they go – concert stage, bus trip, tour, restaurants, even just 2 singers as a duet! So work hard learning it, then let go and have fun with it. Just keep that quarter pulse steady…
