Composer’s Notes
“Somos América” marks the beginning of the Choral Kindness Project, a simple project that centers on my choral repertoire, bringing awareness to small acts of kindness that can change the world.
A world filled with love, with songs, with hope. Every place in America can be a place that welcomes curiosity, courage, and most importantly, kindness. North, Central, and South America all have so much to give, so much beauty and strength. Let’s focus on each other and how we are one community made of so many different stories.

Text
Sueño con un mundo lleno de colores
sueño con un mundo lleno de bondad
Sueño con un mundo lleno de alegría
lleno de amor y de felicidad
Donde todos puedan ser
donde puedan cantar
Yo también soy América.
Tu también eres América.
Tengo mucho para dar,
tengo fuerza y voluntad
nuestras voces cantan hoy
somos América
Sueño con un mundo lleno de esperanza
sueño con un mundo lleno de valor
Sueño con un mundo lleno de canciones
lleno de coraje y de curiosidad
Donde todos puedan ser
donde puedan cantar
Yo también soy América.
Tu también eres América.
Tengo mucho para dar,
tengo fuerza y voluntad
nuestras voces cantan hoy
somos América.
