This anthem of praise combines verses from Psalms 98, 84, and 90. It was written to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Immanuel Christian Reformed Church in Ripon, California, and is dedicated to my parents, Steven and Jeannetta Hoekman, long-time members of that church.

Text
Sing to the Lord a new song, for God has done marvelous things;
all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
Oh, shout for joy, all the earth,
shout for joy to the Lord, our God;
burst into jubilant song, make joyful music to our God!
How lovely is your dwelling place, Almighty God.
My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord.
Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
Blessed are those who dwell in your house;
they are ever praising you.
Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations.
Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us;
establish the work of our hands, yes,
establish our work for us.
– Psalms 98, 84, and 90
