cuius ánima paradísum póssidet!
Unde exsúltant Angeli,
laetántur Archángeli,
Sanctórum proclámat,
turba Vírginum invítat: Mane
nobíscum in aetérnum.
Hic est Martínus, eléctus
Dei Póntifex
O beátum virum Martínum antístitem,
Qui nec mori tímuit,
nec vívere recusávit!
cui Domínus post
Apóstolos tantam grátiam conférre dignátus est, Ut in vir
túte Trinitátis Deíficae mererétur fíeri trium mortuórum
suscitátor magníficus. Sanctae
Trinitátis fidem Martínus conféssus est.
O beátum Pontíficem, qui totis viscéribus
diligébat Christum Regem, et non formidábat impérii princi

O blessed man,
whose soul possesses paradise!
Therefore Angels exult,
Archangels rejoice,
the choir of Saints
proclaim him, the company of
Virgins invites him, “Stay with
us forever!”
This is Martin, God’s chosen
priest,
What a blessed man was
Bishop Martin, Who neither
feared to die nor refused to live!
ranking just after the Apostles, such grace did God see
fit to bestow on him. What wonders he worked – three
times he raised the dead to life in the power of
the divine Trinity! Martin professed faith in the Holy
Trinity.
O blessed Bishop,
who loved Christ the King whole-heartedly and did not fear
the might of princes! O holy soul,
you were not stricken by the persecutor’s sword, yet did
not lose the palm of martyrdom!
